About Me

APPROACH. QUALIFICATIONS. EXPERIENCE. ETHICS.

I work with adults seeking professional psychological help to make changes and improve the quality of life in areas important to them or relationships, are eager to develop their potential or improve their professional skills related to working with others.

I offer individual psychotherapy and couples therapy. I also offer individual and group psychological training and personal development workshops. As part of supervision, I support psychotherapists from various therapeutic approaches, offering both individual and group forms for therapeutic teams. Additionally, I conduct training psychotherapy for people acquiring professional qualifications in psychotherapy.

I work in Polish and English.

Approach

I work within the Gestalt approach. In my practice, I also draw upon transactional analysis, various forms of body-oriented therapy, including bioenergetic analysis, and object relations theory from the psychoanalytic approach.

Qualifications and Experience

I am a certified psychotherapist and a supervisor in training. My professional qualifications in psychotherapy are confirmed by certificates issued by both Polish and international psychotherapeutic associations:

  • European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP) issued by the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP)

  • Psychotherapist Certificate No. 19-2298 issued by the European Association of Gestalt Therapy (EAGT)

  • Psychotherapist Certificate No. 121/2014 issued by the Polish Association of Gestalt Psychotherapy (PTPG)

  • Psychotherapist Certificate No. 51 issued by the Polish Federation of Psychotherapy (PFP)

All the above certificates are regularly renewed in 3- or 5-year cycles, depending on the requirements of the respective association.

I have been gaining professional experience in psychotherapy for over a dozen years. I completed my clinical practice at the Dr. Emil Cyran Provincial Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Lubliniec. I am a member of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT), the Polish Association for Gestalt Psychotherapy (PTPG), and the Polish Federation of Psychotherapy (PFP).

Training

I completed the 4-year School for Trainers and Psychotherapists at the Gestalt Therapy Institute in Krakow, which since 2006 has held the status of a European Accredited Psychotherapy Training Institute (EAPTI) and accreditations from the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP), the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT), and the Fédération Internationale des Organismes de Formation à la Gestalt (FORGE).

To ensure the continuous improvement of my professional qualifications, I regularly participate in industry conferences and additional theoretical and practical training in renowned centers in Poland and abroad, in accordance with the requirements set by the aforementioned associations.

I am currently participating in a two-year training program in psychotherapy supervision, compliant with the standards of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT).

Supervision

To ensure the well-being of clients and the high quality of services provided, I regularly subject my work to supervision. I also use intervision and peer supervision. In accordance with European standards, regular supervision is a mandatory requirement throughout the entire period of practicing as a psychotherapist, regardless of experience or qualifications.

Ethical Standards

In my work, I apply the Code of Ethics of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT), the Code of Ethics of the Polish Association for Gestalt Psychotherapy (PTPG), and the Code of Ethics of the Polish Federation of Psychotherapy (PFP) to ensure clients a professional level of service in accordance with Polish and international standards, and to guarantee high ethical standards, discretion, and anonymity.

Inspirations

For me, the Gestalt approach is a training in the art of not running away from who we are and what we encounter every day. It is a training in the art of living a more conscious, responsible, and creative life. I was inspired to take a closer interest in the Gestalt approach by Zen Buddhism, which I have been practicing for over 20 years.

Other professional experience

In addition to running a private psychotherapy practice, I have many years of experience in managerial positions in the retail, e-commerce, and IT industries, gained while working in an international business environment, both in Poland and abroad.
